NEW FeRROMEC® Liquid Iron plus MICROS

PBI/Gordon Corporation, a Kansas City, Missouri company, has announced the availability of new FeRROMEC® Liquid Iron plus MICROS containing key macro and micro nutrients.

“New FeRROMEC Liquid Iron plus MICROS is designed to supplement fertilization programs,” explains John Spaulding, nutrient supplement product manager for PBI/Gordon. With so many variances in soil pH, organic content and soils just naturally poor in micronutrients, the professional turf and ornamental manager needs this type of product for supplementation, reports Spaulding.

The FeRROMEC “MICROS” formulation contains chelated iron, soluble potash, soluble magnesium and manganese, sulfur, boron and water soluble zinc with a small amount of available phosphate and nitrogen to aid uptake. This combination of micronutrients, all in a readily available form, covers the basics required for optimal plant growth in most situations, according to Spaulding.

FeRROMEC Liquid Iron plus Micros joins FeRROMEC Liquid Iron and FeRROMEC AC Liquid Iron in the Gordon’s Professional Turf and Ornamental Products line. FeRROMEC “MICROS”, however is not designed for the fast green up in cosmetic turf for which the other FeRROMEC products are so well known. “This product supplements fertilizer programs with essential micronutrients for long term plant vitality and vigor,” explains Spaulding. “To help the market understand the difference, the turf manager can look at it this way: green it up fast with FeRROMEC, keep it green with FeRROMEC MICROS,” says Spaulding.
